I must be getting old! Well at least I know I am because the clock tells me that, but somehow I think reality is beginning to catch up with me as well. It seems that either I have more things to do, or less time to do the things I normally do, in. I actually enjoy doing these newsletters and coming into your lives through them. Yet it every one seems to take longer to do! I also enjoy running Memories of Rhodesia because I get to talk with so many interesting people, both black & white, who still exude that Rhodesian (& Zimbabwean) friendliness. So please have mercy on me as I try to age somewhat graciously. If I don't get these newsletters out in a more timely fashion. And please, keep those lovely emails and Skype messages coming.
Don't forget to visit the Rhodesian Memories section. Our goal is to post something new on a regular basis, so please keep visiting and contributing to it. We have built of a lot of the site as photo albums, so please be patient with some of the longer connection and download speeds. We believe the wait will be worth it. Please, feel free to share your Memories, photographs, stories or more with us.
With the financial crisis gripping the world we have seen support for the Pensioners drop off, yet the need still remains. Please, would you consider making a donation (no amount is too small) to the continuing needs of the old people. The relief efforts are also being effected, so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Within the next month we are going to have several years worth of The Herald available in an electronic format. As I write this we have maningi microfiche being converted into digital format. As they are delivered to us we will convert them into .pdf files and make them available for purchase for a small fee. We are looking at dates from 1975 to 1980 being available.
This weekend Canada celebrates its Memorial Day, which will be celebrated next weekend in the US. A time when we stop and remember those who gave their lives for freedom. Let us also remember those we knew when we were young who also gave their lives.

PENSIONER'S UPDATE
Latest News from Zimbabwe
Memories of Rhodesia is committed to supporting those old-age pensioners that are economic prisoners in Zimbabwe. 10% of our revenue goes to this cause. Working with Hope Unlimited, an established Christian organization, 100% of all monies are channeled through them. The funds are then donated to SOAP, which is doing a great job caring for the aged. The reports we get back from Zimbabwe are extremely encouraging, knowing that we (and that includes you) have kept some of our dear old folk alive.
